Eucalyptus Grandis (Blue Gum)

Eucalyptus Grandis commonly known as blue gum grow as straight and tall forest trees, reaching around 30 m (90 ft) tall. These trees grow very fast especially with plenty of water reaching maturity as early as 4 years. They could also be harvested from the 2nd year for use as poles for fencing or rafters for roofing. Common uses include power poles, fencing poles, rafters, timber for furniture, firewood and poles for buildings. These trees can grow in marshy areas with black cotton soil thus making them productive. Grevillea Robusta

Grevillea Robusta commonly known as Grevillea are highly resistant to droughts once established. It is popularly grown on land boundaries in a single row at appropriate spacing. At maturity, they attain heights of between 10 - 15m. They provide a sustainable source of firewood especially by pruning their branches on a regular basis and fencing poles. They also provide timber for furniture, packing cases and bee hives. Their leaves are a good source of soil mulch.

Pinus (Pinus Patula) are fast growing coniferous trees that easily reach heights of up to 30m. Mature pine trees attain diameters of up to 1m. They are evergreen and highly resistant to prolonged dry periods. In Kenya, they are predominant forest trees whose main uses include production of timber and boards and manufacture of paper and pulp. They have also been used as wind breakers and as ornamentals in landscaping. They are a good source of firewood. Pines thrive in medium to high altitudes

While there are many varieties of strawberries, the most widely grown types are the Garden Strawberries known as Fragaria Ananassa. We stock the Senga Sengana variety. The Senga Sengana strawberries are a variety that produce large size, red pulp and juicy fruits with strong aroma. They are one of the best varieties for processing or eating fresh. They are given preference for use as additives to yogurts and chocolates. With proper handling, they have long shelf lives.
